Rainhill 2002 - Photos from the Mudmeet

This August, we headed up to Rainhill (somewhere between Liverpool and Manchester) for the Summer mudmeet and - naturally - had a jolly good time.

Even Sepultura made an appearance via a webcam, but unfortunately we didn't manage to get a photo of him - we were too busy trying to persuade the hotel phone system that it wasn't still living in the early 80s.

Many thanks to Vulnax for organising the meet and to Hawumph for providing the entertainment. If you'd like to give one round of the quiz a go, it's reproduced for you right here in this issue of Muddled Times.

Hawumph is currently organising a mudmeet between Christmas and New Year, based due to popular (i.e. mortal) demand in London. Probable venue the Princess Louise in Holborn, with a visit to the cinema planned for those that fancy taking in the new Lord of the Rings film - then down to the serious stuff!

See you there,

Foddy

Sepultura made the meet - through this strange portal

The dragon also made the meet, thanks to ...

... Hawumph!

Vulnax, the Bas... what a guy!

Karya, with the now infamous top

The dragon can't decide between a mudii pen and a pint of Guinness

Antman arrives ...

... with Boggy!

Richard, pulling a silly face

Vulnax, pulling a sillier hat

Karya, showing everyone her new colour

Hawumph, impaled on his own dragon!

Antman providing a very high standard of special effects

Master and apprentice, but which is which?

The dragon attacks Boggy, will he survive?

Both of them, they make up (or is that out?)

Hawumph looks on as the dragon hawumphs Vulnax!

As is traditional, Boggy falls asleep. Maybe the dragon was just too much for him!
